The sixth season of The Good Wife will premiere on Sept. 21, and one can expect a lot to unfold, especially after Will Gardner (Josh Charles) was shot dead while in court in Season 5. Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) will have to face a lot of decisions and changes, and these will undoubtedly draw viewers closer to the show.

Margulies was honored with her second Lead Actress in a Drama award at the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards on Aug. 25 for her role in the long-running TV series.

In the press room after her acceptance speech, the  actress spoke about her character on the hit TV show. She said, "I love where they are going with [Alicia].... So she's getting a little tougher and she's getting a drier sense of humor and able to take herself less seriously. But it's a slippery slope, so I love this constant dilemma she has. She's always wondering if she's doing the right thing yet she's so sure of herself."

"It's a very fun role to play," she continued. "I love how she's evolved. I really do. She could use a little more love in her life eventually, but the Will Gardner tragedy has to probably – it will probably be a while before you see her in the sack again, is my guess."

According to a report by TV Line, Connie Nielsen will be joining the cast this season, playing the role of an attorney named Ramona, and E! Online named Steven Pasquale and Taye Diggs as other newcomers.

Based on pictures posted by CBS, the cast are intent on giving the audience another exciting season of political and legal drama.
