"The Flash" season 2 episode 13 will see the main cast of characters finally head to Earth-2. Still images of the episode, courtesy of Collider, has provided a closer look at what's in store for fans and for the heroes of the show and this is later complemented by the short sneak peek in the official promo trailer for the episode.

Titled "Welcome to Earth-2," the episode will see Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) head to Earth-2 in what is presumably a plan to stop Zoom and rescue Wells's daughter.

One of the first notable differences between Earth-1 and Earth-2 is that the latter appears to be artistically styled after the 1940s and 1950s, with the Earth-2 Barry Allen donning a full formal suit and Earth-2 Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) a jazz singer instead of a police officer.

The images also showcase Barry and Iris (Candice Patton) romantically together, which may be an indication of things to come for their Earth-1 counterparts.

However, the biggest reveal is that of the Earth-2 versions of Caitlin and Ronnie (Robbie Amell) as the two have turned into the villains Killer Frost and Deathstorm, respectively. This is a major departure from their Earth-1 versions, which have been portrayed as the Flash's main allies.

According to a report from Screen Rant, it appears that Killer Frost is the leader of the evil duo and it seems as if this version of Ronnie has permanently absorbed Professor Martin Stein (Victor Garber). It is unclear if the two are simply the villains terrorizing the Earth-2 Central City or if they are specifically working for Zoom.

The group's stay on Earth-2 won't end with just this episode as the follow-up episode is titled "Escape from Earth-2." During the trailer, Barry tells Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) to close the portal between the two worlds after 48 hours and there is a scene where Caitlin is heard stating that they may get stuck on Earth-2 forever.

"The Flash" season 2 episode 13 airs this Feb. 9.
