The premiere episode of "The 100" season 3 will not air until early next year, and the show's executive producer Jason Rothenberg is making sure that fans of the post-apocalyptic series are still excited to see it back on their TV screens.

Rotheberg recently had a Twitter Q&A session with the show's fans, and he gave away several hints about the upcoming season. The fans asked a wide range of questions regarding the dystopian sci-fi drama, including queries about the plot of the upcoming episodes and the status of the production, among others.

One reply by Rothenberg that really piqued the interest of the viewers was the one in which he mentioned that a certain piece of info is "a big reveal" in the upcoming season. Though the question did not appear on his timeline, the person who asked the question reposted her tweet. The fan was asking him about the reason behind choosing "Polis" for the name of The Grounderss capital city.

But Rothenberg refused to reveal the real reason for choosing that name. Instead, he only let the viewers talk about what the name means, as well as the significance of Ton DC's name in the series. One of the users suggested "polis" refers to Annapolis, Maryland, while Ton DC seems to have been taken from Washington D.C.'s name.

Meawhile, Rothenberg posted a controversial picture early last month. This showed Clarke (Eliza Taylor) wearing the typical hair and makeup of The Grounders.

This photo led the fans to believe that Clarke will switch camps to join The Grounders next season after failing to save her people when she was betrayed by Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey) back in season 2. But could she really join the tribe where Lexa came from in the first place?

In an interview during this year's San Diego Comic-Con, Taylor said that Clarke seemed to be planning to run away for her group to deal with Lexa's loss.

"The 100" season 2 episode 3 is slated to air early 2016 on The CW.
