In a shocking display, a Texas mum pulled a gun on a14-year-old girl this week at a public park. 

The teen was fighting Virianda Alvarez's daughter when the 33-year-old mum pointed a gun at her head, the Daily Mail reports. 

The incident was caught on cell phone video on Tuesday by several bystanders. 

According to Pasadena High School student Victoria Myers, she got into a dispute with Alvarez's daughter over a boy. Challenged to a fight by Alvarez's daughter's friend, the two were supposed to fight at a park across the street from the school. 

A cell phone video shows that a crowd joined them at the park, and one spectator shoved Alvarez's daughter towards Myers. The girls began hitting each other and pulling hair, and Myers eventually ended up on top of her rival. 

As Myers hit the girl in the face, Alvarez reportedly pointed a black handgun at her head. A school officer broke up the fight, and the mim can be seen holding the weapon at her side as she walked away from the scene. 

Witnesses said Alvarez put the gun back into her Hollister messenger bag before the officer noticed it. 

Myers maintained that she did not know of the gun's existence until she watched video and saw photos of the melee. 

Alvarez was picked up the same day and charged with aggravated assault after evidence from the fight appeared online. The mum claimed that she only wanted to scare Myers, and her family said the weapon was not loaded.

She is being held on $35,000 bond, and faces 2 to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000 for the second degree felony. 

The two teens received citations, were suspended from school until Monday, and have to complete a five-day program.
