Teenage Band D2 to Perform at Youth for Christ Event

|PIC1|Christian teenage band D2 will be performing at a family entertainment night organised by Youth for Christ, in St Albans on Saturday 25 March.

The girls – Lucy Atkinson, Becca Robinson, Penny Robertson and Emily Pointon - will be joined by professional TV actor Rupert Smith and international Christian speaker Roy Crowne at the event, which will take place at St Albans Vineyard Church, Ashley Road Industrial Estate, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

Rupert Smith will be performing ‘Life in a Lay-by’: a production based on Robert Lacey’s award-winning contemporary version of the Bible: ‘The Word on the Street’. ‘Life in a Lay-by’ tells the tale of the Prodigal Son’s rollercoaster ride into oblivion and back, just in time for a great family party.

Darren Richards of Youth for Christ, the Christian charity that is organising the evening, said: “We are delighted to be putting on an outstanding evening of entertainment, worship, theatre and music with a distinct Christian flavour. We are sure it will appeal to churchgoers across St Albans.

“This is yet another example of Youth for Christ's innovative and important work that seeks to reach a generation of unchurched teens with the gospel.”
