"Teen Mom 2" just released its preview clip last week for season 6's reunion special and it showed Leah Messer and Corey Simms in a heated argument over cheating allegations.

However, the drama didn't stop there for the ex-couple as it also showed Messer to have uttered a safe word — "monkey."

According to a report from The Ashley's Reality Roundup, sources claimed that Messer's mother, Dawn Spears, revealed that her daughter almost died from her anxiety before she went for therapy.

Spears added that Messer's blood pressure shot up so high, she initially didn't want her to join the reunion special.

Since Messer is bound to an MTV contract, she had to do it.

Although "Teen Mom 2" reunion specials are expected to be filled with drama, none of the stars had to use a safe word until Messer's case.

The production allowed the safe word since Messer was known for her fragile condition during the filming.

"Teen Mom 2" fans are aware that in season 6, the 23-year-old reality star was suffering from problems and attended therapy, and while ex-husband Simms claimed it was due to drug problems, Messer said she received treatment for her anxiety problems.

Since mom Spears was worried about her condition, show producers allowed for a safe word to be uttered when things get too intense for Messer.

Indeed, it was a roller coaster ride for Messer as she faced drug and cheating allegations, a second divorce, and a custody battle; but the star had successfully completed her therapy and is now back and beaming with positivity.

In a Facebook Q&A last week (reported via Reality Tea), Messer described therapy to be the "greatest experience" she ever had. The star confessed that she's learned so much from her time in therapy that she wished she could've done it following her first divorce.

Messer also realized that she's an amazing parent to her daughters Ali and Aleeah.

The reality star also admitted that she is still continuing on her therapy as she is determined to improve herself more. As for her future plans, there' not a lot that the teen mom has planned, except for being there for her daughters.
