Months after ABC Family announced that a fifth season for "Switched at Birth" has been ordered, series creator Lizzy Weiss finally showed a teaser for the show's upcoming season.

On Twitter, Weiss posted a photo of what seems like a draft of a script for the first episode of "Switch at Birth" season 5. Based on the image, the premiere episode for the season which Weiss seems to be writing will be called "The Call." However, the series creator did not post any further details about the episode.

The network announced the order for the fifth season for its long-running family drama on Oct. 21, just days before the conclusion of season 4 on Oct. 26.

Fans of the show were delighted to find out that the story of Daphne (Katie Leclerc) and Bay (Vanessa Marana) will continue, especially since the fourth season ended with a puzzling cliffhanger.

At the end of the season 4 finale, Bay received a phone call while she and Daphne were working in China. The person at the end of the line demanded that they should return home ASAP, but the reason was not revealed during that time.

In a previous interview with The Wrap, Weiss admitted that they were still formulating the follow-up episode for the big season 4 cliffhanger.

"Not everything is fleshed out, but there is a general plan," Weiss explained. "We had a million ideas [for what the cliffhanger would be], and we may still use a couple of them."

Weiss also discussed the future of Toby (Lucas Grabeel) and Lily (Rachel Shenton) in the series, especially since their baby was already born.

"The baby has been a big part of the season that we've touched upon a bunch of times, and has been part of our larger series conversation about difference. And it's just another strand fo difference. It was just important that we end the first part of that journey," the series creator said.

"Switched at Birth" season 5 will return to ABC Family, to be called Freeform, in 2016.
