'Supernatural' season 11 spoilers: Sam, Dean to face big challenges as brothers in new season

Is there trouble brewing with the Winchester brothers in the coming season? The CW

Things may get a lot bloodier when "Supernatural" returns for season 11.

The season finale for the 10th season of the long-running fantasy horror drama is slated to air Wednesday, but The CW already shared their plans for the show's future. According to network president Mark Pedowitz, they are not planning to end the show in season 11 as long as lead cast members Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki would still want to do it.

"I'm a big believer and a big fan of the show, and as long as the ratings hold and as long as the boys want to do it, we'll do it," The CW president stated.

Season 10 will reportedly end with a big challenge for Padalecki's character Sam, who has been working hard to help his older brother Dean, played by Ackles, get rid of the Mark of Cain. But Sam could be in grave danger in the hands of his brother, whose killing streak was intensified when their beloved friend Charlie (Felicia Day) was killed by the Styne Family while she was protecting the Book of the Damned that would help Dean to remove the Mark.

Spoilers claim that Dean is blaming Sam for Charlie's death, and he is bent on slaying anyone who has had a hand in killing her. Does this mean that Dean is also willing to kill his younger brother?

"Supernatural" season 11 is currently under production, but Padalecki is reportedly going through something personal which could delay his work in the show. The actor backed out of a public appearance during the JIBCON fan fest in Italy over the weekend, and posted several alarming tweets.

The actor initially posted, "Dear #JIBCON and #AHBL6. I am in desperate and urgent need of my family. I am so sorry to tell you this but I must head home," then followed it up with, "I need all of the love I can get right now. Please please give me a few seconds of your time and write me. #AlwaysKeepFighting"

Fans of the actor became worried, especially since he openly discussed his battle with clinical depression. His manager Dan Spilo released a statement to Hollywood Life to explain Padalecki's condition, saying:

Jared wanted everyone to know he loves meeting his fans around the world and was very upset at having to cancel his trips to Rome and Australia. Jared has pushed himself to his limits and is suffering from exhaustion. His SPN family is so important to him, and he asks that they Always Keep Fighting. At this time he needs to be home with his family. He's doing better already and is excited about shooting 'Supernatural' season 11 this July. For now he's taking a break, but is so appreciative of his fans, and sees and feels their love and support."

The actor seems to be in better spirits as he posted a recent tweet thanking his fans for their support.
