Previously, "Super Smash Bros." mods were dismissed as being nothing more than just simple fan-made improvements that utilize the prowess of the Super Smash engine in order to concoct special versions of the title and end up making them more immersive compared to the original game. However, a YouTube user by the name of Sleepy Jirachi has come up with a mod for "Super Smash Bros." that enables the title to become even more exciting.

The brawl mod has been named "Pokebrawl" and even though it is currently only available in beta mode, it is able to exhibit impressive visuals and addictive gameplay elements. Using the mod, Sleepy Jirachi was able to introduce a whole new tournament roster that features dozens of contestants in the form of Pokémon that would be duking it out with each other. While there are several different variants of fights and brawls witnessed when Pokémon are involved, the mod brings a whole new world of fights to the table.

Apart from the regular Pokémon which include the likes of Pikachu, Charizard, and Mewtwo, Sleepy Jirachi has also managed to add Blaziken, a Pokémon that will also be included in the Pokken Tournament, along with other Pokémon such as Rotom, Gyarados and, Jirachi.

Due to the Pokébrawl mod being in beta mode, it no doubt possesses significant rooms for improvement. In terms of visuals, the character details still show jagged edges that need to be refined, although there has been a lot of positive feedback regarding the gaming performance. Apart from augmenting the visuals, improvement of the mod can also be done through assigning a unique repertoire of fighting moves to each character. This will allow a unique flow of fights and rhythms to take place during battle.

Sleepy Jirachi is currently looking for modders that will collaborate with him in order to take the Pokébrawl mod to the next level.
