'Super Smash Bros. 4' cheats and tips: How to unlock all 12 hidden characters

"Super Smash Bros. 4" is taking the gaming world by storm.  It is heading to Wii U on Nov. 21 in the U.S., on Dec. 5 in the U.K., and on Dec. 6 in Australia, Japan and New Zealand.

The new "Super Smash Bros." game has a total of 51 characters to choose from, and 39 of these characters were readily available, while the 12 hidden characters need some work before they appear. Below are the ways to unlock some of the hidden characters in the "Super Smash Bros. 4."

1. Ness

Ness is one of the familiar faces in the "Super Smash Bros." series and he is included in the latest installment of the game as a hidden character. One way to unlock Ness is to play 10 Versus matches and beat Ness in the next fight. Another way is to finish Classic Mode twice and get a chance to fight and beat Ness.

2. Falco

One of the classic characters in the series is Falco and there are two ways to unlock this character: Play 20 Versus matches and beat Falco in the next battle, or complete Classic mode once and fight Falco next.

3. Wario

One of the difficult characters to unlock in the game is Wario. Players have to finish 30 Versus matches then fight Wario, or successfully complete the 100-man battle challenge in Multi-Man Smash Mode and fight Wario next.

4. Lucina

A true swordswoman in the game that can be unlocked by playing 40 versus matches to beat her next or by choosing Marth to complete the Classic mode for a chance to beat Lucina.

5. Dark Pit

Pit's clone is also a hidden character that will emerge when players complete 50 Versus matches or when they finish Classic Mode thrice for a chance to fight the darker version of Pit.

6. Dr. Mario

Dr. Mario went missing in action in the "Super Smash Bros Brawl." However, he is back in "Super Smash Bros. 4" and can be unlocked by playing 60 Versus matches, or by completing Classic Mode using Mario on difficulty level of more than 5.0.

7. R.O.B.

A tough character to see that will need players to play 70 Versus matches or to acquire 200 trophies for a chance to fight R.O.B.

8. Ganondorf

In order to unlock Ganondorf, one must play 80 Versus matches or finish Classic Mode as Link or Zelda on a difficulty level of 5.0 or above to fight Ganondorf in the next match.

9. Mr. Game and Watch

One of the surprising inclusions in the "Super Smash Bros." is Mr. Game and Watch who will appear when players play 90 versus matches or finish Classic Mode using 10 fighters or more.

10. Bowser Jr.

To make Bowser Jr. appear in the game, gamers need to survive100 Versus matches or finish Classic Mode with 6.0 difficulty level or above to fight Browser Jr. in the next battle.

11. Duck Hunt

One of the new characters included in "Super Smash Bros. 4" is Duck Hunt who delivers a quirky fighting style. To see this character in action, players need to finish 110 Versus matches, or finish Classic Mode with eight characters or more to beat Duck Hunt in the next round.

12. Jigglypuff

The last hidden character in the game is Jigglypuff who appears after gamers play 120 Versus matches or collect at least 30 different equipment or items.
