Sunday Night Football takes place tonight with one of the biggest games of the season so far as the Carolina Panthers take on the New Orleans Saints. The game will determine who will gain control of the division.

The Panthers have been in amazing form over the past two months, and finally have their opportunity to take over from the Saints at the summit of the division.

If they can claim a win over the Saints they will silence many of the doubters who have been critical of just how good this Carolina team is this season.

The Saints have a fortress at home, and teams rarely come away with anything from New Orleans Superdome, however, they were trashed last week by the Seattle Seahawks, and for the first time this season they look vulnerable – something that has been identified by the Panthers.

The Panthers have claimed 8 straight victories coming into this game and are the most in form team in the entire NFL. If they win today they would move into the No. 2 seed spot.

Head to head the Panthers have won 2 of the last 3 meetings between these teams. In December 2012 they took down the Saints 44-38. Earlier in 2012 they defeated the Saints in September 35-27.
