"Star Wars Battlefront" was one of the most highly acclaimed games of 2015, and like previous EA DICE video games the title focuses entirely on online multiplayer. However, according to a report from IGN, it is possible that an offline single-player mode might be coming very soon.

According to the report, Reddit user known only as uninspired_zebra posted several discoveries on a Reddit thread as well as on YouTube showcasing hidden files that were kept within the user interface of the recently launched "Bespin" DLC pack.

Upon accessing the hidden files the player was able to find an offline Instant Action mode with both Assault Walker and Fighter Squadron options. When the Assault Walker was selected it showcased seven playable maps, three levels of difficulty and the option to either play solo or online co-op.

As stated in a report from Shack News, it also appears that the menu is complete with no placeholders, indicating that this is the finished UI design that may be implemented when the DLC is released. That being said, EA has yet to mention anything about an offline mode for "Star Wars Battlefront" and the information should still be considered as pure speculation.

However, given that EA and DICE are set to work on a "Star Wars Battlefront 2" soon it is possible that they will leave the first game by giving it an offline mode with the occasional online co-op as they shift their multiplayer resources and attention to the next game in the series.

IGN has reached out to the developers to verify if there is any truth to the information but EA has yet to give an official comment. It is speculated that they will make an announcement soon regarding the offline single-player mode in the following months, at least before the end of the year, as they also prepare to showcase "Star Wars Battlefront 2."
