"Star Wars Battlefront 3," the next installment of the video game adaptation of the iconic George Lucas films, is expected to be released some time in the last quarter of 2015, according to an announcement made during the recently concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo.

Electronic Arts earned the exclusive rights to develop the games, and it involved its subsidiaries such as Digital Illusions CE (DICE), Bioware, and Visceral Games to work on the upcoming title. EA also collaborated with LucasArts to create a game that is accurately similar with the Star Wars universe.

The game is currently under development so that it will work well with all the next generation gaming platforms. It will be made using the Frostbite 3 engine and would offer all of the latest gaming features.

The makers revealed that the upcoming game is not a sequel to "Star Wars: Battlefront 2," but instead it will be a re-boot of the entire franchise.

Several reports surfaced about how the development team keeps themselves busy with the game by visiting different locations to shoot the actual settings to incorporate the scenes into the game. It was also mentioned that different images, scenes, and models have been captured from the actual film and added to the game to make it a true Star Wars experience.

During the 2014 E3 in June, it was revealed that both planet Hoth and  the forest moon of Endor are set to the art of the playable maps in the game. In addition, the planet Tatooine is included in the list of the game's playable maps.

There are speculations online that Battlefront 3 will allow players to ride and control different spaceships or vehicles featured in the Star Wars universe. The game will offer the Death Star's destruction just like in the franchise's earlier games.
