Sony continues to bring the Xperia M4 Aqua across the globe. Not too long ago, the water-resistant device made its debut in the U.K. via Carphone Warehouse, which offers the smartphone in color black only and with two-year contract tie-ups.

An affordable option is Carphone's very own ID. This makes use of a mobile virtual network operator that works under the Three network. Users can get the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua with 5,000 texts, 150 minutes, and 250 MB of 4G data with this option.

Another promo goes with a 24-month contract that costs 15.50 euro per month. As for the other color variants of the handset, users in the U.K. will see the white and coral flavors by next month. There's more waiting for those who would like an unlocked version of the device.

Those who want to get the device with Vodafone can go for a high data plan at 42 euro, which gives users unlimited minutes, text and 20 GB of data. That is the biggest promo there, although there other options under this network available, too.

The Sony Xperia M4 Aqua is also on its way to India. It won't be long before Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom puts it up for grabs.

Sony is also sending out invites for an event on May 26 in New Delhi, presumably for the launching of the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua there. The invite tells recipients to "give your phone a splash this summer," heavily hinting at the water-resistant design of the smartphone, first seen during the Mobile World Congress back in March.

The Sony midranger comes with a 5-inch 720p display, gets power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, and houses 2 GB RAM and 8 GB of expandable storage. It has a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash. On the front is a 5-megapixel snapper. The device also runs Android 5.0 Lollipop and gets its juice from its 2400 mAh battery.
