Great news for PlayStation 4 owners as Sony confirmed that the PS4 2.01 update is currently rolling out to users.  It brings fixes and solutions to the bugs and issues that clouded the previous update.

The main feature of the PS4 2.01 is the fix to the Rest Mode bug that was earlier found. Sony confirmed that the new update addresses the issue.

Sony also reminded its users to update their consoles using the official update data provided by Sony Computer Entertainment over a network or on disc media.

Sony rolled out the PS4 2.0 update last week dubbed as "Masamune." The update heralds theme support, broadcasting enhancements, dedicated app support for YouTube, improved voice commands, and a USB music player that allows users to listen to their own library while playing games.

Moreover, the 2.0 update enables the Sony's Share Play feature in the console. This particular feature allows players to share screenshots or videos of their game to other players. Also, gamers can invite other players in a local co-op session.

However, a lot of users who installed the previous PS4 2.0 update reported that they experienced issues with the console's Rest Mode. Users claimed that the console would not turn back on after putting it into Rest Mode.

With the rise of the issue, Sony immediately acted and gave a temporary fix by advising players to boot in safe mode as the company determined the length and parameters of the issue.

"We are aware of issues reported by some PS4 users following the release of PS4's latest system software update, v2.00. We are investigating these issues and will provide an update as soon as we have more information," Sony told GameSpot last week in order to calm PS4 users.
