It's not every day you see a wizard working in the muggle world, but it looks like Hogwarts professor Severus Snape has decided to change careers and work at American Airlines.

Apparently, the airline has a sense of humor since its gate agent David Dolci bears an uncanny resemblance to actor Alan Rickman, who played Snape in all eight Harry Potter movies.

On the airline's Facebook and Instagram accounts (@AmericanAir), the company shared some photos of Dolci holding up a wand and pretending to be Snape.

In one photo, Dolci is shown pointing the wand on a girl dressed up in a Gryffindor robe. They captioned it, "Severus Snape will assist you in the boarding process for Flight Nine and Three Quarters from LaGuardia to Hogwarts. We'll be boarding by Sorting House and are expecting a full flight today. Our First Class Slytherin passengers can now board the Patronus Jet. Please let our Flight Attendants know if you would like a pre-departure butterbeer. Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff are welcome to board next. Last and certainly least, Gryffindor and Muggles may board."

In another photo, Dolci is once again holding up the wand and the caption reads: "Wingardium Leviosa. Now departing New York LaGuardia on the Patronus Jet."

People seem to think that the airline's gimmick is pretty clever, and a lot of people have actually shared their comments about it. American Airlines gamely responded to some.

Someone noted that the character is already dead. To recall, he was killed off by Lord Voldemort in the seventh book "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." But the airline answered back: "That's what he wants you to think..."

When someone else asked, "Do you guys like Harry Potter?" the team from American Airlines teased a reply: "Just a tad."
