NFL star Russell Wilson spoke out about recovering from his Super Bowl loss in an intimate video posted on last week.

While the outspoken Christian admitted that he was haunted by the loss, he said he is looking forward to what the rest of his professional and personal life will bring.

It appeared the Seahawks had the Big Game won before a questionable play call led to an interception and a New England Patriots victory.

Instead of letting top running back Marshawn Lynch run the ball into the end zone, the Seahawks decided to throw the ball. Patriots rookie Malcolm Butler intercepted the pass. The Seahawks were just one yard from the end zone.

"One yard," Wilson wrote as a lead-in to the video. "I'd be lying if I said I haven't been thinking about that one yard for the past 17 days.

"Everyone wants to know how I feel. Well, it's complicated. Walking off that field in Arizona and seeing disappointed Seahawks fans in the stands was anguish. How could I not feel like I let them down? I tried to be positive, but I'm not perfect."

After admitting that he hates losing, he took full responsibility for the failed play and wants to be better in the future.

"The belief that I'm going to get there again and we're going to do it better than it's ever been done is never going to change for me," the quarterback said in the video.  "I'm going to be the last guy to ever give up. I'm going to be the last guy to not take a risk.

"Through all the ups and downs and wondering what happened, I'm prepared for the next moment. In my mind, I believe I have a killer instinct and will keep doing everything I can to be successful."

Despite his ambition, the 26-year-old made a distinction between fleeting rewards longer-lasting achievements.

"And there's a difference between just being successful and being significant," he explained. "My goal is to be significant. My goal is to make a difference, to do it better than anybody's ever done it.

"Call me crazy. Call me insane. I don't know, but I believe I'll get there again."
