Scandal season 3 episode 1 "It's handled" - There is some serious fixing to be done at OPA.

"Scandal" season 3 will be premiering tonight on ABC at 10 p.m. ET.

The official synopsis for "Scandal" season 3 episode 1 titled "It's Handled" is as follows: "With Olivia's name out there as the President's mistress, both the White House and Pope & Associates face their biggest scandal to date, and a surprise allegiance is formed in order to get things handled. Meanwhile, Olivia's father, Rowan, will stop at nothing to carry out his orders and no one, including Olivia, can stand in his way."

The season 2 finale showed the president's affair with Olivia Pope being revealed to the press.

A promo for season 3 released last month shows the president expressing his feelings for Pope saying, "I'm in love with a woman who is not my wife."

This season will deal with the fallout of the affair and how they deal with the scandal.

Show creator Shonda Rhimes recently teased viewers on the premiere episode. "We're going to dive into a lot of things at the beginning of Season 3. The first episode, much like all of our other episodes, does that thing where you think the show is going to be about this and then they answer something very quickly and then they move onto something else."

Episode 2 will be titled "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" with the following synopsis: "The origins of Olivia's distant relationship with her dad are revealed through flashbacks. Meanwhile, the White House and Olivia's firm continue to try to fix the damage they've done."

Be sure to tune in to ABC on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 10 p.m. ET to catch the season premiere episode.
