San Antonio Spurs trade rumors are hinting the possible inclusion of two NBA superstars to the lineup of the franchise, which suffered a huge setback following Tim Duncan's retirement.

According to the trade rumors, Rudy Gay could be headed to San Antonio. With the small forward on the verge of leaving the Sacramento Kings, it is expected that the Spurs will be his landing spot.

Gay has spoken about being unhappy by how they run things in his current team. Although he spoke to coach Vlade Divac to iron things out, he told CBS Sports that his feelings about the Kings remain unchanged.

Many teams are reportedly doing all they can to further lure Gay away from Sacramento, the Spurs being one of the teams trying to do so.

It will be a big gain for the Spurs to have Gay on board, seeing that it is in dire need of talents possessed by Gay, who will be an excellent performer off the bench.

Arthur Hill of Hoops Rumors believes that money will not be an object in this trade possibility, simply because the Spurs currently have $93 million to spend and it can go up to $102 million should Pau Gasol turn down the player option of $16.2 million.

However, the analyst stated that they might use this advantage to bring in Russell Westbrook instead, as he is expected to leave Oklahoma City Thunder after Kevin Durant's exit that floored the superstar.

"There is probably nothing that Westbrook would enjoy more than forming his own super team to battle Kevin Durant and the Warriors," Hill said.

"The Spurs certainly have the potential for that with Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge under long-term contracts," he went on to say.

However, the Spurs might not have the trade assets and high draft picks that will convince Thunder to let go of its superstar. The Boston Celtics could snatch Westbrook away from them with regards to this.
