Speculations have suggested that AT&T will announce the carrier-exclusive Samsung Galaxy S7 Active on June 10. Now, the full specs of the upcoming Galaxy S7 iteration have been leaked ahead of its supposed release.

VentureBeat reports that even if the official specs sheet of the Active version is not yet released, fans may expect the flagship iteration to have some similar features and internals as the Galaxy S7 base model. The industry follower said that it has obtained the official specs sheet, and the Galaxy S7 Active uses the Snapdragon 820 version of the lineup. The Qualcomm processor is also paired with 4GB of RAM.

Other similarities include the 32GB onboard storage, which can also be expanded via the returning microSD slot; Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box; and the same dual-pixel sensor setup for the 12MP main camera at the back. Same as the Galaxy S7, the Active version also reportedly carries a 5MP selfie shooter at the front.

The Galaxy S7 Active also features the same 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display, with a 1440 x 2560 resolution.

Meanwhile, since the Active version is the tougher and more rugged-looking iteration in the Galaxy S7 lineup, there are some changes to its dimensions. The AT&T-exclusive device is slightly bigger and thicker than its Galaxy S7 counterpart. However, the thicker body is actually an advantage for the flagship, as the Galaxy S7 Active is said to carry a massive 4,000 mAh battery.

In terms of toughness, the leaked renders of the Galaxy S7 Active show that the new flagship retains the same, MIL-STD frame. Based on the images, the iteration is also decked out in at least two military-connected colors, green and gold. It is expected that the Galaxy S7 Active version also features IP6X rating like the base model.
