Samsung Galaxy Note 4 USA launch is Oct. 17

Pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 start today, Sept. 19, and the device will be released on Oct. 17.

Samsung unveiled its two new phablets, Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge, on the first day of IFA 2014. The Samsung phablets, which offer top-of-the-line specs and features, turned the heads of many visitors at the trade show.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be available in October on all major U.S. carriers, including U.S. Cellular, and retailers. The Galaxy Note Edge will be available for purchase later this fall with no definite date yet.

US network AT&T officially announced that it will offer the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in Charcoal Black and Frost White variants. The carrier offers the device for $299.99 with a two-year contract or $825.99 without a contract. The device is also available in AT&T Next.

Verizon also started accepting pre-orders and is selling the device for $299.99 with a two-year commitment. The device will be available through Verizon Edge plans. The phone will hit the stores on Oct. 17.

T-Mobile, on the other hand, offers the phablet for free but with the two-year contract and split the payment for 24 months of $31.24. The preorders will start a little later on, Sept. 24, and will ship on Oct. 17. Meanwhile, the device will be available for $749.

Samsung's flagship phablet, Galaxy Note 4, features a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Quad HD or 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution, quad-core 2.7 GHz Snapdragon 805 processor from Qualcomm paired with 3 GB of RAM. The device comes with up to 64GB internal storage and microSD slot, and a 3,220 mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is equipped with 16MP back camera with optical image stabilization, and 4K video recording support, and a 3.7 MP front-facing camera. It runs with the latest Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS. It also comes with connectivity features such as LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, IR baster, and microUSB 2.0.
