Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 4 only in September, but discounts on the handset have already been spotted. For one, top U.S. carrier Verizon Wireless is now offering the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 at a lower price.

Verizon subscribers can enter coupon code TECH30 upon checkout that will bring down the price of the device to $209. That's $90 worth of savings when compared to other carriers' price of $299. Verizon is also circulating another discount coupon, TECHBAR, which will gives its subscribers $50 off. Thus, one should be careful when entering the coupon code.

Consumers can also get the Galaxy Note 4 from Sprint with no upfront price. The price of the handset will instead be added on top of the monthly subscription fees.

As an overview, the Galaxy Note 4 features a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen display with quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, a speedy 2.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage with a microSD slot of up to 128 GB for additional storage, 16-megapixel back camera, and S-Pen stylus.

In related news, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 users in the United States have not yet received the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. While T-Mobile's Update page confirmed that the phablet will receive the OS upgrade, the carrier did not spill as to when the update will arrive in the handset. According to reports, the device is still in the first step of the rollout, meaning the manufacturer is still working on the operating system after the carrier and OEM agreed to support the smartphone. It has not gone into testing under T-Mobile yet.

However, it is definite that the South Korean company will deliver the new firmware to the Galaxy Note 4 as it has been rolled out in Poland and will creep its way through Europe and Asia before it will be released in the U.S.
