Country singing duo Rory and Joey Feek are still choosing to look at life with rose-tinted glasses even as Joey is slowly dying because of cancer.

Her husband Rory is keeping fans updated on her journey on his blog called "This Life I Live." In his new post entitled "Braver Than Me," Rory shares sweet photos of his wife and family, and gives updates on Joey's condition.

Joey entered hospice care at their family home earlier this month. "God chooses the appointed time. Not us. Not hospice," Rory writes. "Though now, she can no longer get out of bed—she is so sharp and clear and her pain, for the most part, is so under control by the medicine that talking to her—you would think she's her normal self. Thinner. Much thinner. And with a hip new hairdo. But she is beautiful. So so so beautiful."

Despite her condition, Joey is still a doting mother to her daughter Indiana, who was born with Down syndrome. She would smile at her daughter every time she would wake her up in the morning, and Rory is simply in awe of his wife's inner strength.

"There isn't a day that goes by that she doesn't look me and her family in the eye and say 'I'm gonna beat this,' or 'I'm getting better, I believe that.' And she asks me if I believe it, and I do," he says.

Rory said his wife, just like any woman, is very conscious about her looks. But in his eyes, he still sees her as beautiful. And as difficult as it is to share about the details of their lives, they made the decision to be open about their journey. "Sharing what we're going through with others is really all we have to give," Rory explains.

"She wants to be remembered as a singer of songs. A devoted wife. A loving mother. Not a cancer patient," he adds.

So even though hospice care has been a "rollercoaster" for the Feek family, Rory says they are trying to live by the moment, and they are living by Joey's example.

"Like dancing, she wants to do this right, or not do it at all... to share the good, the bad, and the beautiful. And so we will," he says. "When God begins to take the light from the outside... the light inside just shines all that much brighter. It's amazing. She's amazing."
