Ronda Rousey news: Dana White explains plastic surgeon

It has been several weeks now since Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 193 and the latest on Ronda Rousey is that the former champion needed the aid of a plastic surgeon to address some of the injuries that she sustained from her match against Holly Holm.

Aside from her pride, the real score on what really ailed Rousey was not known until UFC president Dana White came out in the open and shed light why a plastic surgeon was needed to attend to the former UFC women's bantamweight champion.

As it turned out, Rousey suffered a split lip which was likely a result of that devastating left kick the Holm landed at the climax of that shocking second round triumph.

Seeing that Rousey is also someone who needs to make sure that she is physically presentable in her film commitments, the best plastic surgeon was flown to Australia to work on Rousey's mouth.

White's revelations made through the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast further shot down rumors that Rousey had suffered a broken jaw at UFC 193.

The whole thing, of course, makes sense. Rousey is set to work on a couple of films, "Roadhouse" and "Mile 22" in the coming months and it would be a bit off to see her acting with a noticeable sewn lip just in case.

The plastic surgeon did a magnificent job, according to White, using interior stitching to reduce scarring.

Rousey isn't expected to be back in the UFC anytime soon, although White has repeatedly stated that a rematch is forthcoming. That will take place at UFC 200 in July 2016 as confirmed by White via Hollywood Life.

White plans to talk to Rousey about it after a month, seeing that Rousey is still recovering from the devastating loss to Holm. Rousey continues to lay low after the loss, although she did thank fans for their love via her Instagram account.
