"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." ~~Philippians 4:4-7

We are told to rejoice always - in all situations we must be glad and not be anxious. At all times, in dire situations we must with thankful and humble hearts ask for God's help in our prayers. But we must also not forget to give praise and thanks to God in our joyful situations in life - for the passage says to "rejoice in the Lord always".

We must have humility and always seek the peace and tranquility in our hearts that can only come through our Lord Jesus Christ.

If we suffer greatly but still praise the Lord with joyful, rejoicing hearts then isn't the glory of God revealed so much greater than if we only rejoice in joyful situations?

So let us follow and rejoice in the Lord in all situations, so that the glory of God can be displayed greatly in everything that we do and at all times in our lives.
