In the midst of the success of Starz series "Power," which has Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson as one of the producers, the drama was already renewed to season 3. The immediate renewal was instigated by the record-breaking viewership it scooped up during the second season's premiere.

"Power" season 2 premiered last June with 1.43 million viewers watching. This easily became the most-watched original series season debut for Starz. In fact, the hit drama is the most watched series in the network.

"I am thrilled to learn that season three of 'Power' has been officially ordered by Starz. It is an honor to work with Chris Albrecht, Carmi Zlotnik, Ken Segna and the whole Starz team," series creator and executive producer Courtney Kemp Agboh told The Wrap.

"Their support has been steadfast from the beginning, and I look forward to a bright future together," she went on to say.

Today, the show's second season wraps up and show creator Courtney Kemp Agboh promises there will be bloodshed. In an interview with The Urban Daily, she subtly warned fans to brace themselves for what's going down this season.

"There are so many jaw dropping moments on Saturday that I don't even know what to tell you, man. It's crazier than Episode 9 by the jump," Kemp Agboh said. "Will we see other deaths? Yes, for sure. I'm not going to tell you who they are," she continued.

In an interview with USA Today, Naturi Naughton, who plays Tasha in the series, teased that it's going to be "crazy" and fans will need to buckle up.

What's sure though is that there will be no flashbacks in "Power" season 3 and the seasons beyond that. "The thing about flashbacks for me is that the information that the audience wants about what that was, you can give them present tense. You really can," Kemp Agboh said.

"So no, as long as I'm running this show, you're not going to see a lot of flashbacks. You will see flashbacks of things you already saw," she affirmed.

There's no word on the premiere date of "Power" season 3 yet, but it is likely follow the air dates of previous season and air in June, 2016. Season 1 premiered in June 2014, followed by the season 2 premiere in June.
