'Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire' codes: Unlock Contrary Serperior and get into some Pokémon tunes

Players do not run out of reasons to love "Pokémon Omega Ruby" and "Pokémon Alpha Sapphire." One is the whole new possibility of unlocking Contrary Serperior in the game. Gamers in Japan are granted with a special code to be able to get, and eventually breed, the powerful creature.

There are quick steps to get a hold of the coveted Pokémon seamlessly. After downloading the game to the Nintendo 3Ds, gamers need to navigate through "Mystery gift" found in the main menu. They then have to select the option "Receive gift," which will activate the "Get with code" option. This will prompt players to enter a code and all they have to do is key in "POKEMON497." And voila! A Contrary Serperior at the palm of their hands. However, this code will only work from Jan. 9 to Nov. 30 exclusively in Japan. Outside of the territory, the code does not work. Here's to hoping that it will cross borders soon.

Contrary Serperior is a formidable Pokémon fit for battle. It can bounce the effect of the enemy attack back to its opponent. The enemy will also deflate a player's own attack but Contrary Serperior will resist that and, with the use of its Leaf Storm, the hit will not lose even the slightest impact even if the opponent lowers it.

On the other hand, there is new info about the Special Battle for "Pokémon X and Y" and "Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire." Pokémon to be used are only from the "Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire" or those transferred from "X and Y." Special Battle Season 8 is limited to the National Pokédex and there are some Pokémon that are not included. They are: Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde and Diancie. There is also a limit to the number of berries to get. Any Mega Stone will not be available for players' Pokémon to use. The partaking Pokémon should also be at Level 50 and players can only choose four out of six.

Meanwhile, another "Omega Ruby" and Alpha Sapphire" goodie is out in iTunes for gamers to capture as well. A total of 160 tracks from both the games were made available for purchase to cater to the players' music fix while traversing and battling through the Pokémon world. They can buy each for $0.99. But if choosing which one to get is a bit difficult (and clearly it will be), they can buy the whole set for only $9.99. This will allow them to listen to beats coming from all the way back to 2003. Game Freak and its group of composers, which includes Junichi Masuda and Shota Kageyama, have re-recorded all the tracks to make them the perfect background to an action-packed Pokémon battle experience.

Gamers in Japan can play their game and bob their heads to the tunes while helping themselves to some Pikachu pancakes in the newly put up "Pokémon ORAS" café in Shibuya Parco.
