The second DLC  for "Pillars of Eternity," titled "The White March Part 2," has been given an official release date. Previously listed as "coming in late January" in the official Obisidian forums, the latest trailer for the DLC now states that the DLC expansion will come out this coming Feb. 16.

"The White March Part 2" will complete the storyline introduced in the first DLC, pushing the players to complete the quests to reach the Eastern Reaches. It will be introducing new quests and new abilities and it is speculated by fans that this DLC will officially end the story of the game as a whole.

More importantly, the DLC will be raising the current level cap while also introducing a new character, Meneha, the Barbarian. Another new mechanic is the "Story Time" system which will allow veterans of the game and the prior DLC to go through the story segments at a faster pace.

The first expansion DLC added the option to respect character builds, set scripts for party AI and raised the level cap from 11 to 14. Part 2 is likely to increase the level cap to 17 or even up to 20.

Players who have purchased the Expansion Pass will be able to get "The White March Part 2" for free as the pass avails for both part one and part two of "The White March" additions.

Fans also speculate that once the second DLC is out, Obsidian will release a more definitive collector's edition that will combine the base game along with the two DLC expansions together. At the time being, the Champion and Royal editions of the game only comes with the base game, the official soundtrack, and a novella but no collection of the base game with its DLC packs.

As reported by IGN, the game has sold well over half a million copies since October 2015 and was also nominated as one of the site's top RPGs of the year.
