Jamie and Claire in "Outlander"Starz

Production for "Outlander" season 3 has officially begun and several members of the cast and crew made sure to share to fans a tease or two about the new season.

Sam Heughan, who plays the role of leading man Jamie in the beloved Starz series, tweeted about the end of the first day, saying that it is "good to be back."

He also quipped about slipping back into his costumes once more for "Outlander" season 3, tweeting "Kilt.... Hello old friend. Now. Umm. How do I.....? Does it have sleeves? Wait."

Producer Maril Davis also tweeted about prepping for the "Outlander" season 3 production as well as crew member David Stewart. Production designer Jon Gary Steele also shared photos of the props to be used for the new season.

Since "Outlander" season 3 will be set in the Caribbean, the production design team is working hard to make sure the show gives that feel through the props and the design for the sets.

Some of the props include canons and pitchforks, which definitely suggest war. It is not a shock though since fans will definitely witness a big one in "Outlander" season 3.

The new season will be based on author Diana Gabaldon's third book "Voyager." It will be set mostly in the Caribbean as fans check back in on Jamie and Claire (Catriona Balfe) a couple of decades after they separated.

As fans know, the couple will find their way back to each other's arms soon, but not before Jaime learns what kind of a man he is outside of his relationship with Claire.

During their separation, Claire's relationship with first husband Frank (Tobias Menzies) will also be further explored. As early as the "Outlander" season 3 premiere, the pair will be seen figuring things out with regards to raising a child.

"Outlander" season 3 premieres next year on Starz.
