The anime adaptation of "One Punch Man" had been such a runaway success that fans are already expecting season 2 to roll out soon. As details are yet to be made available regarding the overall plot of the upcoming episodes, speculations continue to float online.

The latest rumors suggest that as what transpired in the first season, season 2 of "One Punch Man" will also stay on course with the events that happened in the original manga series, which would mean Garou is the next villain.

According to YouthHealthMag, fans said creator Murata Yusuke will be making the anime adaptation faithful to the manga, which places Garou as the next contender to Saitama. Garou has been a disciple of Bang (Silver Fang in the anime). Disillusioned by what he experienced in childhood, Garou decided to become a villain, even to the extent of going on a rampage and hunting down heroes.

Later in his fights, Garou managed to assimilate the techniques of everyone he encountered and evolved into a strong opponent. The Hero Association labeled him the Human Monster.

Meanwhile, although the story itself has yet to be confirmed, Crossmap said that there will be no time jump between seasons, and that season 2 will premiere right where the last episode of the first season left off. According to the industry follower, the season 2 premiere will be "The Strongest Hero" and will put the pilot episode right after the fight between Saitama and Lord Boros.

In the climax of the first season, Lord Boros and his group tried to invade A-City, right where the headquarters of the Hero Association is located. As some of the S- and A-class heroes fought the invaders, Saitama went directly to Lord Boros's battleship and challenged the Destroyer of the Universe to a fight. The battle culminated with Lord Boros using all his strength against Saitama, who won in the end.
