One million Missionaries planned for Africa

Nairobi, Kenya Feb. 20 : Two Christian ministries in African are churning out a strategies to raise a million missionaries in African continent, which will further boost a already successful evangelical works and missions in Africa.

Vision International Christian Ministries(VICM) under the initiative of Africa Leadership Development Conference (ALDC) has mapped out strategies by which a million missionaries could be raised across African continent in the next four years.

‘This Day’ Newspaper based in Lagos, Nigeria reported that Rev. Francis Olubammbi, the National Director of VICM had told media persons at the premises of West Africa Theological Seminary, Lagos; he said that the Church has arranged programmes for the next four years to be moderated by two remarkable American Church leaders, who have been reportedly excelled in the area of Church growth and leadership training.

The two American leaders, he said, were Internationally acclaimed preachers, teachers and authorities on the subject of leadership, giving their names as Dr. John Maxwell and the other, a pastor of a fast growing Church in America, Rev. Rick Warren.
The first phase of the leadership training programme, he said, will hold between March 15 and 19, 2004, in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt simultaneously.
Under the programme, he said thousands of leaders would be trained to disciple and guide millions of Church workers to fulfil their goals and missions.
