Fans of the upcoming science fiction adventure video game "No Man's Sky" were treated to an extended footage recently released by Hello Games.

The six-minute raw video offered an insight to the world's largest sandbox with its fantastic visuals, while disclosing little information about the actual gameplay. It is now available courtesy of Cobra TV.

Developed by a small independent UK studio, "No Man's Sky" stirred interests when it was first unveiled in the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015 held at the Los Angeles Convention Center. It is a "procedurally generated open universe game" where players take the role of a planetary explorer riding their own spacecraft.

The game's website compares the adventure of playing it as "seeing things no one has seen before."

"Explore uncharted solar systems and catalogue unique new forms of life. Every planet's landscape is different from the next, and populated by species never before encountered," reads the game's description.

"No Man's Sky" offers players a unique experience, exploring different world and galaxies that never seem to end. It is big enough to accommodate 18 quintillion planets, each containing rare flora and fauna.

The end goal of the sci fi game is not just to explore and conquer planets, but to reach the center of the universe. Players are equipped with space ship and tools in their quest, but they still need to find more sources and upgrade their technology.

To do this, they need to collect precious resources on the surfaces of planets and trade them for the crafts, suits and equipment. They will reach dangerous and hostile frontiers along the way that will "test their skills to the limit, from dogfighting in space to firstperson combat on a planet's surface."

The game will launch for both the PlayStation 4 (PS4) and the Xbox One, with the release date still to be announced.
