A new space exploration and science fiction adventure video game developed by a small team of just four people is expected to be released for both the PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows platforms.

The new video game, titled "No Man's Sky", was recently introduced by the U.K-based independent developers Hello Games at the recent Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015 (E3 2015) event that took place in Los, Angeles, California. It still remains unclear though when exactly the game will be released.

No Man's Sky had earned the "Best Independent Game" and the "Best Original Game" during last year's E3 2014 conference event.

The new science fiction game is a "truly open universe", according to the developers, and contains "18 quintillion worlds", where players can explore the whole infinite-like universe and discover new worlds and distant planets.

Hello Games said, "If you can see it, you can go there. You can fly seamlessly from the surface of a planet to another, and every star in the sky is a sun that you can visit."

"Every creature, geological formation, plant and spaceship is unique." Hello Games added.

Players will also have to survive in this universe and collect necessary materials, which will help them in their journey. They will also have the ability to share their discoveries with other players.

The idea of the game began with the founder of Hello Games, Sean Murray, and his memorable experiences in the middle of nowhere. The wonder of the night sky and the many stars under total darkness had captivated and inspired Murray and his team to develop No Man's Sky.

Edge Online reported, "Three coders and an artist working in a modest Guildford studio have suddenly found themselves creating one of the most talked-about games in the entire industry."
