Expectations were high that the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop update would be able to address various issues tied up with the Nexus 5. But along with that comes fear of new problems once the update is applied.

The Nexus 5 was one of the last phones released under the Nexus Line and one of the cheapest Android phones one could get their hands on in the market. The Nexus 5 did debut fairly in 2013, starting off with the Android 4.4 KitKat. But a lot has changed since then, especially once the updates came rolling in. Rather than provide a fix, the Nexus 5 returned a whole lot more of problems with each update that came out.

Among the issues that Nexus 5 had experienced include that of battery life, charging issues, connectivity (WiFi and Bluetooth) problems, cellular data issues and performance problems. And now with the Android 5.1 update, hopes are high that existing errors can be addressed.
