LEGO and video game fans will have something to look forward to as Nexon announced that they are currently developing a new LEGO role-playing game meant for mobile devices. 

The global game publisher based in Tokyo is confirmed to be working with Warner Bros. Interactive and TT Games to come up with a LEGO RPG that is compatible with all Android- and iOS-powered devices. 

The upcoming mobile game will feature some elements from selected LEGO properties. So far, the only announced property that will be featured in the upcoming RPG is LEGO Ninjago, but fans are also interested to see if other popular properties like "Lord of the Rings," "Star Wars," Marvel, DC, as well as "Harry Potter" will be featured in the new role-playing game as well. 

Nexon President Owen Mahoney discussed the upcoming LEGO RPG game through a press release posted by MCV UK.

According to Mahoney, "LEGO is among the most wildly successful and iconic brands of our time, and we are thrilled to be teaming up with TT Games to bring LEGO-based online games to mobile gamers. Players can look forward to the fun and unique game experiences that Nexon is known for, along with the LEGO characters they have come to love." 

Other important details about the soon-to-be released LEGO mobile RPG have not been disclosed, including its official release date. However, there are reports claiming that the game is set to come out sometime in 2016. 

If these reports turn out to be true, then the upcoming LEGO RPG's release will coincide with the new LEGO Ninjago movie that is also coming to theaters in the same year. 

The new LEGO movie will reportedly be Warner Bros.' strategy to come up with a highly successful movie franchise, just like Marvel's multi-movie installments. The sequel to "The LEGO Movie" will also be released on the same year.
