As 2014 draws to a close and 2015 becomes more and more tangible, tech enthusiasts bear the excitement of hailing new-fangled and much more advanced devices in the digital territory. The year is promised to unveil a slew of gadgets and gizmos that will once again show where the world is in the field of technology.

2014 proved that the sky is the limit with the potentials and functions of devices and 2015 will only allow the tech world to move forward and explore more. This year marked the time when the market had started to finally embrace the idea that technology can be worn, and this will not slow down anytime soon.

In 2014, everyone knew that timepieces can handle more than just time-telling with the release of smartwatches like LG G Watch R and Moto 360. This early, Apple enthusiasts are already gearing up for the early 2015 launch of the much-anticipated wearable called the Apple Watch. The titanic company's first ever venture into the field will surely change how things go in the wearable ground. The smartwatch will come in two sizes and three variants, which will cater to the sporty user, the casual one and the sophisticated one. While many of the models of the upcoming watch are laden with metal bands and genuine leather, the priciest edition is embedded with gold.

2015 also has some surprises for the athletically-inclined. Behold, the Ralph Lauren Polo Tech Shirt. Users would not only look stylish while sweating it — the highly-advanced shirt can track their activities, their breathing and cardiac rates and stream them to their smartphones and tablets with Bluetooth.

How does a beanie music player sound? Yes, come 2015, the 1Voice beanie will complete users' fashionable look while it caters to their music needs. It has Bluetooth headphones intact, which allows wireless music streaming.

Rumor mills have long indicated that an iPad Pro or iPad Plus, with a screen that measures 12.2 inches, will materialize in 2015. Expected to be powered with an A9 processor, the sizeable device still remains to be a fictional Apple feat. Speaking of fictional, an iPhone 7 (or an iPhone 6C) is also said to emerge next year. Speculations suggest that the Cupertino-based company will go all-out in releasing new handsets to keep up with its rivals, hence two new iPhones are purportedly launching soon.

Interestingly, 2015 will also be the year Kodak reinvents itself from being a colossal camera company to a new smartphone player. In its partnership with Bullitt Group, an Android handset was built. Kodak kept details about the future handset at a minimum but users can expect that its imaging capabilities will be most impressive. Come January 2015, Kodak will unveil the device at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

But Kodak is not the only one trying out new things. Apparently, Sony and Samsung have collaborated to make PlayStation gaming possible even without a PlayStation console. Gamers will be able to stream games from the PlayStation Now service to select Samsung Smart TVs (such as Bravia) without hassle. All they have to get is a reliable Internet connection (Sony says 5 mbps will do), a Sony DualShock controller and willingness to rent the available games. While the streaming service only offers a limited selection of titles (that's 200 PS3 titles), the tech company promises to expand it further as the year progresses.
