NBA trade rumors 2016: Cleveland Cavaliers looking to net wingman Ben McLemore

The Cleveland Cavaliers are looking good thus far, but there are still areas that need filling in.

The Cavs have long been looking to add shooters, explaining the interest in Atlanta Hawks' Kyle Korver. Right now, however, that is no guarantee; hence, the team is looking for other potential shooters to add to their roster.

Trevor Ariza of the Houston Rockets and Ben McLemore of the Sacramento Kings are said to be targets. Of the two, McLemore could be a feasible one to get, considering he hasn't gotten that much playing time under George Karl.

Despite minimal playing time, one thing going for McLemore is that he is shooting 37% from the three point region. The hitch is that the Kings have been turning down trades for the 23-year-old baller.

McLemore could be a good deal, considering he doesn't carry a hefty contract. According to Cleveland.com, McLemore is due $3.1 million this season and $4 million next season.

He does seem a good fit, but it may all depend on whether or not the Kings will bite. Also, it will be interesting to know whom they deal for McLemore. The only name that comes into mind is Timofey Mozgov, whom the Cavs have been offering.

If not McLemore, the Cavs could consider Rudy Gay. The problem is Gay carries a hefty contract.

Ariza could be an option as well, depending on whether or not they can hit a deal with the Rockets.

Jared Dudley was mentioned before or maybe even Joe Johnson in case his contract is bought out by the Brooklyn Nets.

Right now, there are a lot of players the Cavs could consider; but that player has to fit into what the team budget can accommodate.

With the National Basketball Association (NBA) now on break due to the All-Star festivities, it will be interesting to see whom they go for soon. Coach Tyronn Lue and general manager David Griffin are likely holding discussion about it right now, and all that could result in a possible trade happening next week for Cleveland.
