The new novel to be known as "Naruto: True Legend of Itachi" is set to be released by Sept. 4.

"Naruto: True Legend of Itachi" is scheduled to be the first of three new novels to be coming out for the franchise.

According to iDigital Times, the new novel will not be complete when it is released on Sept. 4.

Instead, the novel will be divided into two parts, with the first one known as "The True Legend of Itachi: Glory Volume" being the one earmarked for release in September.

The second part of the novel, to be known as "True Legend of Itachi: Dark Night Volume," will come out in October. An exact release date for the second part of the novel has not been given.

According to the Anime News Network, the first part of the novel will focus on Itachi's rise through the ninja academy. The novel will chronicle the journey young Itachi takes from being a once aspiring ninja to being one of the best that his country has ever produced.

The novel also dives into the ideals of Itachi, and explores how even as a young man, he had dreamed of becoming a Hokage and bringing lasting peace to his homeland.

The novel will also take a look at Itachi's fateful meeting with Shisui, and how that chance encounter changed his life. It will also show readers just how Itachi fell into darkness as he continued to grow stronger as a ninja.

Following the release of the two-part novel focused on Itachi, "Naruto" fans can look forward to a new story focused on Sasuke.

The novel, to be known as "The True Legend of Sasuke," is expected to offer fans a more detailed look at Itachi's brother and the struggles he went through.

All of the novels focused on Itachi and Sasuke are expected to only be the first installments of the new "Naruto Shinden" series.
