Little has been said about the actual health condition of legendary Formula One racer Michael Schumacher, yet the family remains vigilant about keeping the information about the progress of his treatments after his near-fatal skiing accident in December 2013.

In September, The Guardian revealed that Schumacher's family filed a lawsuit against a German publication called Bunte after one of its reports claimed that Schumacher can already walk a couple of steps.

According to the report, Bunter cited an unnamed friend of the seven-time Formula One World Champion who claimed that he can already walk a bit with assistance from his therapist. The report also mentioned that Schumacher can also raise an arm.

However, Schumacher's lawyer, Felix Damm, was forced to reveal that the sports car racer is still unable to walk and stand, even with the help of his therapists.

Schumacher's manager, Sabine Kehm, described the incident as an "irresponsible" reporting.

"Unfortunately, we are forced by a recent press report to clarify that the assertion that Michael could move again is not true," Kehm said in a statement that was also published by The Guardian. "Such speculation is irresponsible because given the seriousness of his injuries, his privacy is very important for Michael. Unfortunately, they also give false hopes to many involved people."

Schumacher obtained his injuries during the ski accident that he encountered while on a holiday with his family in the French Alps. The world class sports car racer fell and hit a rock head first during one of his skiing sessions with his son Mick.

But while waiting to hear more news about Schumacher's health condition, Formula 1's official website revealed that his personal collection composed of racing memorabilia will go on display for the public in the latter months of 2017. This will include some of his first racing karts, trophies, and his sports car.

The exhibit will be displayed in his hometown in Karpen, Germany.
