Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney is the latest celebrity to speak out against a hacker who is posting nude photos of celebrities online.

After refusing to acknowledge the pictures, Maroney broke her silence on Monday. She denied the photos are of her, and sent a message to her fans and the hacker.

"The fake photos of me are crazy!!" she tweeted. "Was trying to rise above it all, and not give 'the creator' the time of day.. BUT... YOU SIR, NEED JESUS."

Maroney attached a meme of the "Buddy Christ" icon from the religious parody film "Dogma".

After her denial of the authenticity of the leaked pictures, the 18-year-old faced considerable backlash on social media.

"Fake? Really?" one Twitter user wrote. "Even the ones taken in your own bedrooms? Come on... What's the use of denying the obvious?"

Maroney responded to the criticism by thanking her supporters.

"Shout out to my fans for defending me all day long.. even when things got weird u stood by me and that meant the world," she said in a Twitter post.

Maroney became an internet sensation after finishing second in the vault finals during the 2012 London Olympics. While standing on the medal podium, she folded her arms and pursed her lips to the side – an expression now known as the "not impressed" face.

The celebrity hacker also broke into the phones and computers of "Hunger Games" actress Jennifer Lawrence, Sports Illustrated model Kate Upton, Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander, and others, and posted their nude photos on the internet.

The hacker claimed via online bulletin board 4chan.org that he has hundreds of other explicit images, including ones of singer and actress Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, Nickelodeon actress Victoria Justice, and Rihanna.

Lawrence confirmed through her representative that the photos are of her, and promised to prosecute any person or website that shares the photos.
