Manny Pacquiao next fight with Amir Khan? Talks ongoing

Well, with the looks of it, Manny Pacquiao won't be fighting Floyd Mayweather Jr. this year and Amir Khan won't be facing The Money either. So, a fight between Pacquiao and Khan is indeed possible.

Khan aired his opinion about fighting with Pacquaio, and he believes he should be Pacman's next opponent in Macau, on November 27. The Manila Standard Today reported that Khan said, "We have a good history together; we both were trained by Freddie Roach, we sparred together hundreds of times, we are friends. But boxing is a business and I want to fight him and beat him."

Khan reasoned to Bad Left Hook, saying "We are both fighting next in November or December, so everything is perfect for us to fight. Its speed, explosiveness and entertainment from both fighters and this is what fans want from boxing right now." Bad Left Hook reports that there are talks about the fight already.

It seems like Khan is setting his eyes on the big names. Unfortunately, his fight with Mayweather didn't push through as Mayweather had fought Marcos Maidana last May. And even if Mayweather is slated to fight again September 13, it won't be against Khan since he won't make it due to the Ramadan. Instead, Khan calls out Pacquaio as he "will be ready in time" for the fight on November.

Khan also said that if Bob Arum and Oscar de la Hoya want to make it good with their recent reconciliation, they should work together and co-promote fights, "why not Amir Khan and Manny Pacquiao fight?

Mayweather and Pacquiao's next opponents are still uncertain. Both camps haven't picked their next fight yet. Mayweather's possible opponent list includes Miguel Cotto and Khan, while the other possible opponents for Pacquaio are Chris Algieri and Juan Manuel Marquez.
