Will Apple laptop fans soon see a new version of the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro?

Speculations claim that the Cupertino-based tech firm is developing a new version of the MacBook Air to compete against Microsoft's latest laptop/ tablet hybrid device called the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, while an improved MacBook Pro will be released as a follow-up to the product that failed to get the market's interest this year.

The next MacBook Air, which is expected to come out sometime in March 2016, will come in several varieties. It most basic form allegedly comes with 4 GB of RAM with 128 GB storage space; a mid-range model will reportedly feature 256 GB storage space with 4 GB of RAM; and its high-end version will allegedly come with an impressive Core i7 processor, 516 GB storage space, and 8 GB RAM capacity.

There are also reports claiming that the new 2016 MacBook Air will come in two sizes, a 13-inch and a 15-inch variant. It will also come out with the 4K Retina display that is already featured in the current Apple computer products in the market today.

Another rumored feature of the ultra-thin 2016 MacBook Air is a reversible USB Type-C port, which will be compatible with Lightning and MagSafe features.

There are also reports saying that the company will release the next-generation MacBook Pro alongside the thinner MacBook Air next year. Both computer devices are rumored to feature the latest processors available in the market, including Intel's Broadwell or its latest Skylake processor. It will also allegedly come with Apple's own OS X El Capitan.

But while the tech firm plans to release the alleged 2016 MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, several speculations claim that the next-generation laptops will be unveiled as early as October this year.

However, the Cupertino-based firm is still mum about the details of both the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 2016 devices at the moment.
