There are ongoing promotional deals on the MacBook Pro and Air at authorized resellers, as noted by industry observers. With as much as $320 off on current-gen Apple laptops, fans may be enticed to purchase and upgrade.

However, instead of checking out the current promotion, some observers interpret the ongoing sale as a hint that a new lineup is coming out soon and they tell fans to patiently wait a bit longer for the MacBook Air and Pro 2016.

According to reports, the supposed launch of the new Apple laptop lineups is in June this year, at the WWDC, which is annually sponsored by the Cupertino-based company. While four months may seem like a long time for fans, the industry follower maintains that the huge improvements and new features of the new Apple laptops will make the wait worth it.

Reportedly, the new MacBook Air will once again be the lightest and slimmest among Apple laptops, with the integration of USB Type-C ports in the designs. In addition, while maintaining its "Air" tag, the new MacBook Air will introduce a new version with a bigger, 15-inch display. Although it is bigger, the resolution for the display will not suffer as Apple will reportedly push for a Retina display for the new laptop lineups.

In terms of performance, Apple Insider adds that the new MacBook Air and Pro laptops will also get a huge boost in their internals. Reportedly, the new laptops will use the new Skylake series of processor, which is a follow-up to Broadwell. This translates to a boost in CPU speeds by as much as 20 percent, and graphics upgrade for as high as 41 percent, while maintaining an improved power management. The industry follower even ventured to say that the new chipset can get as much as 30 percent more battery life.

These improvements mean that the MacBook 2016 lineups will be much better than the current ones, and waiting for their launch will be worth it.
