Rumor has it that a new powerful laptop dubbed as the Macbook Air 2016 is already in the works inside the guarded Apple's workrooms. With the latest one released back in October, there are reports that the hottest iteration of the formidable machine will touch down in a few months.

Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of details regarding the upcoming Macbook Air or how far the Cupertino-based company will go in terms of upgrading the device. But there are reports that already talk about what the Macbook Air will boast when it comes out later this year.

The laptop is said to be fitted out with the newest and most powerful processors from Intel, the Core-M based Skylake processors, which are set to release in August this year. With the capacity to house a 15-watt chip, these units will make the new Macbook drastically snappier than its predecessors.

With these chipsets onboard, Apple will be able to allow users to charge the device wirelessly. The company has been reportedly exploring on the possibility for its products, even on the Apple Watch, but it looks like the feature will make it to the Macbook Air 2016.

In line with this, Apple is rumored to employ USB-C ports on the machine. This has the Lightning and MagSafe feature, which the last year's Macbook boasted, and more, making it the perfect unit to be featured in the upcoming Macbook.

The Macbook Air 2016 is also said to come in a 15-inch Retina display that renders 2304 x 1440 pixels. Master Herald says there could be 13-inch and 11-inch versions of the Apple-made laptop as well. As for the overall look, the device's expected minimalist design will make it look as classier than ever.

The device is likely to be made official in October and months or weeks prior, Apple enthusiasts will hear more about what it has in store.
