Look at God instead of your problem, urges Kari Jobe

Kari Jobe explains the meaning of her song "Lord Over All."

Christian singer Kari Jobe wants people who listen to her song "Lord Over All" to be encouraged to look to God instead of their problems in order to attain peace, confidence, and comfort in their lives.

She explained the meaning of the song, which is taken from the album Majestic, on her Facebook page. Jobe said that breakthroughs happen "when we declare the Word of God over our circumstances" and "when we look to Him instead of at the problem!"

She said that it is definitely an act of faith to declare that God is Lord over all, especially during times when people do not understand the things that are going on in their lives. But Jobe encouraged people to still praise Him despite their trials.

She quoted Hebrews 11:6: "It is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him."

When people have faith in God, they will not be afraid to go out to war against their enemies. Even if the odds are against you, Jobe said, you have nothing to fear because the Lord your God is with you.

The song "Lord Over All" is another song of declaration that is perfect for seasons of waiting and faith, as well as seasons of unknown and hope. Jobe added the Bible verse Psalm 46:10, which says, "Be still and know He is God," and is the ideal verse to accompany Christians through all the hard things they face and go through.

"He will never fail; He is always near; He is always at work on your behalf. Keep trusting and declaring the truth of His Word and goodness and watch breakthroughs come. This is my prayer for you," she said.
