LG Nexus 5X vs. HTC One A9 specs comparison: How the two smartphones stack up

The Nexus 5X has been making waves inside the tech world since it was first formally announced, while HTC's One A9 could be a major player once it is officially released.

Considering how the two smartphones may soon be among the most coveted in the market, it would be wise to learn more about them now.

Starting with what the two phones have to offer in terms of their hardware specifications, the Nexus 5X features Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808 chip paired with a 64 bit hexa-core processor, according to Phone Arena. Meanwhile, HTC's One A9 has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 chipset that is complemented by a quad-core processor.

Moving on to the memory capabilities of the respective phones, LG's Nexus 5X provides 2 GB of RAM and also presents users with options of getting either a 16 GB or a 32 GB model. The One A9 is more varied in terms of its memory offerings. Its 16 GB model provides 2 GB of RAM, while its 32 GB version offers up to 3 GB of RAM. Users can also expand the internal storage capacity of the One A9 by using a microSD card, according to GSM Arena.

The Nexus 5X has a 12.3-megapixel rear camera that is paired up with one up front that provides five megapixels. On the other hand, HTC's offering has a 13-megapixel primary shooter that is complemented by a secondary camera that provides four megapixels.

When it comes to the sizes of the two phones, the Nexus 5X presents a 5.2-inch display enveloped by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, while the One A9 has a slightly smaller display at five inches, although it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

One of the main features of the Nexus 5X is that it is among the first units to present the Android Marshmallow operating system (OS), although those who will opt to get the One A9 will also be able to use the same system as soon as the phone hits stores.
