LG G5 release date, specs, and features: 4K resolution?

LG G5's predecessor, the LG G4LG Official

The LG G5 rumors continue to swirl and fans are excited if any of them will really be featured when the device comes out.

When it comes to the display, the LG G5 is said to have a 5.6-inch True HD IPS display with 3840 x 2160 resolution, according to Taiwanese sources (via Know Your Mobile). The device is said to also have a unibody, full-metal design.

VentureBeat's December 2015 report, on the other hand, agrees to the all-metal, unibody design, but seems to disagree when it comes to the display.

According to the news outlet, citing a source who knows about the company's plans, LG G5 will have a smaller screen display than its predecessor, the G4. The device is said to carry a 5.3-inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560, as opposed to the 4K resolution mentioned previously.

But Know Your Mobile believes that LG G5 is more likely to have a 4K resolution since it is expected to be the norm for 2016.

Both reports, though, claim that the LG G5 will feature a Snapdragon 820 chipset, along with a 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage capacity. KnowYourMobile further noted that there will be variants of 64 and 128 GB devices.

As for the camera, the G5 is said to carry a dual-lens camera with a 16-megapixel resolution for the main shooter, while the selfie camera will still retain G4's eight megapixels.

There are also rumors suggesting that the G5 main camera will have 20-21 megapixels. Over to the battery side, word has it that the G5 will pack up more power with the 4000 mAh battery. At the same time, there are also rumors stating that the G5 will have 3800 mAh.

As always, all these rumors have not been confirmed, but they should be put to rest once LG G5 is released.

The LG G5 is rumored to be introduced in the upcoming Mobile World Congress, which will be held next month.
