Kristen Stewart talks 'Twilight' success, career plans and her famous frown in new Elle interview

Kristen Stewart graces the cover of Elle Magazine's September issue and she opens up about starting over, her career, her success and her signature frown. This is something very new from K-Stew as she is known not to talk about her private life publicly.

There's no doubt that Stewart is one of the most popular "it girls" in Hollywood today. Her role as Bella Swan in the "Twilight" movies certainly skyrocketed her career to unprecedented heights. Although dealing with a major setback (her cheating scandal with Rupert Sanders), Stewart has risen from the ashes and still, staying true to who she is.

In the interview, Stewart was asked if she plans her career, to which she said: "Never at any point have I sat down and plotted how I should proceed from here on. As soon as you start thinking about your career as a trajectory—like, as if you're going to miss out on some wave or momentum—then you're never doing anything for yourself anyway. Then you're truly, actually, specifically working for the public. You're turning yourself into a bag of chips."

And what about her signature frown? Why won't she smile at the cameras? Stewart said, "Now I feel like if I smiled for a paparazzi photo—not that I ever would—that's exactly what people would be desecrating me for. They'd be like, 'now you're going to give it up, now you're a sellout.' like, okay. What do you want? What would you like?"

Stewart also shared how she realized how successful "Twilight" was and what it did to her career. "The day the movie came out, there was a picture of me—in the New York Post, I think. I was sitting on my front porch, smoking a pipe with my ex-boyfriend and dog. And I was like, Oh shit, well, I have to be aware of that," Stewart shared.

K-Stew is currently filming with Nicholas Hoult for the movie "Equals." There are rumors going around that the two are actually dating and that Hoult's ex Jennifer Lawrence is angry about it.
