Gospel artist Kirk Franklin is hitting the capital this month for a one-off concert.

The Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum artist will be performing at the Discovery Centre in Barking on November 18 at 7pm.

Tickets are on sale at £37.50 for preferred seating, with only 200 seats available, or £30 on the door. Doors open at 6pm for the concert, hosted by Trinity Chapel.

The concert will be the second by Kirk Franklin in the UK this year. He was in London in May for the Oraclez gospel festival at Wembley Arena, where he joined CeCe Winans and Mary Mary on stage.

Kirk Franklin has enjoyed phenomenal success as a solo gospel artist in his native US as well as the UK.

His first solo album, The Rebirth of Kirk Franklin, went platinum in 2002 after topping the gospel albums chart for 29 weeks.

His follow-up album, Hero, went platinum in December 2006 and went on to win two Grammy Awards in 2007.
