King's Kaleidoscope debuts Christmas EP

Kings Kaleidoscope's debut Christmas EP is out today from Mars Hill Music.

The worship group are based at Mars Hill Church Ballard, just north of Seattle.

The EP, Joy Has Dawned, tells the wonderful story of Christ's birth and the mystery of God becoming man to save the world.

The album is available from iTunes and marshill.com/music.

Kings Kaleidoscope comprises over a dozen musicians, including a string trio, horn section and glockenspiel.

The band are all about bringing new life to old hymns that are steeped in sound doctrine.

With Joy Has Dawned, the band wanted to bring the listener from a place of humility in the incarnation to the full glory of the exalted Lord.

The first track is "Come Thou Long Expected Jesus", a cry for Jesus to come and be the Saviour of the world.

"O Holy Night" recalls the actual night of Jesus' birth, the moment in which the longing for a Saviour was fulfilled in his incarnation.

"Joy Has Dawned" celebrates the coming of Jesus while "Oh Come, All Ye Faithful" calls everyone to come and worship Jesus.

The EP ends with "All Glory Be to Christ" and the assurance that even though our lives on earth are short, we will live with Christ in Heaven forever.
